Forefathers rolling over in their graves

I am appalled that our leaders (Obama included) just gave over $700 BILLION to a group of stupid bankers!  Seriously, no one asked them to give mortgages to people they KNEW wouldn't be able to pay them back.  If someone comes in and says to the people at Wal-Mart, "I want that motorized Corvette for my son, but I don't want to pay you now" they would escort you out of the store.  Even "Lay away" needed money down to hold your stuff until you could pay for it.
So, after all of these 100% financed, no credit needed loans, who gets to pay for it??? ME...and you!  Guess what most of those people who's houses foreclosed on are doing? most of them sitting back and laughing, because they probably don't have to pay taxes anyway. Since when did our Government have money to give??? Last I checked we are in debt up to the moon.  Seriously, the last 8 years have brought us more and more debt.  We have got to change the way our Government spends money, and collect more from people who have it to give.  I hate it when the Republicans (I was one until this election) say  "he wants to increase taxes".  Yes this is true...ON PEOPLE WHO MAKE OVER $250,000 A YEAR!!!!  I don't know anyone who makes that much a year. I think it is simple math, if I pay (hypothetical numbers here) 25% of my $50,000/year or $12,500 and someone else pays 15% on their $300,000/year or $45,000, how is that fair?  Why not do it the other way around or equal?  25% of $300,000 ($75,000) is a hell of a lot more than 25% of my $50,000/year ($12,500).  I guess now that I am trying to get OUT of debt, I am more angry that our stupid Government doesn't want to.

OH, guess what else I read today.  Governor Schwarzenegger is going to ask the US Gov to help bail out the state of California for 7 Billion dollars....true story folks, when does it stop?

It is just beginning Jo. Hang on to your hat. Today’s market being down by 800 points shows you that all the scare tactics worked for the Dems (to get all that pork ramroded through) and yes, we will be paying for it. I know you don't believe it but you are one that (WILL) to be taxed, if Obama gets in, (as in making more money then you need) Obama IS along with his party trying to make this a Socialist Country. Thy admit it. Take from the rich and give to the poor. You bet our Forefathers are turning in their graves. By the way both Brownback and Robertson, from Kansas, voted against the bill. I don’t think there is a “perfect” candidate, but you bet, I will take McCain over Obama.

We're ALREADY a socialist country under the current administration.

- We are now in the insurance industry (AIG)

- We are now in the mortgage industry (Fannie & Freddie)

- We are now in the Banking industry (Wall Street Bailout)

Bush was on TV every day urging Americans that we HAD to pass this bill -- the sky was falling. They passed it. The market tanked. Great plan!

Sure, I'm upset that Obama voted for the Bailout bill, but don't fool yourselves: McCain voted for it too. I've emailed my representative (Dennis Moore) to let him know that I won't be voting for him in November.

Go to http://www.keatingeconomics.com/ to see a documentary detailing McCain's role in the S&L scandal of the late '80s. He's a slimy politician that took money and gifts from a lobbyist to help loosen bank regulations in the S&L industry....which eventually cost the taxpayers billions of dollars when it all collapsed.

Sounds a lot like what's going on now, doesn't it?

After knowing the truth about McCain's sleazy involvement in the S&L crisis, I'm supposed to feel comfortable that he can turn this economy around? Not a chance. A McCain administration would be a complete and utter disaster....don't even get me started on the other half of that ticket.
